Claiborne - Overholt Funeral Home 1106 Hwy. 33 South New Tazewell, TN 37825 (423) 626 - 2191 Fax (423) 626 - 8440 Mr. Aaron Cupp age 96 of Tazewell, TN was born April 8, 1920 and went to be with the Lord December 26, 2016. He was a deacon and very faithful member of Blair's Creek Baptist Church. Aaron was a combat veteran of WWII who stormed the beaches of Normandy, fought the Battle of the Buldge. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Jake and Caroline Cupp Wife: Beulah Cupp Brothers: Carson Cupp and Dewey Cupp Sisters: Cleva Hurst and Mary Day He is survived by his: Sons: Mitchell Cupp and wife Barbara Rondy Cupp and wife Shirley Grandchildren: Cindy Lemons and husband Virgil Andy Cupp and wife Jennifer Erin Simmons and husband Matt Great Grandchildren: Tashia Nicole Lemons, Ashley Michelle Lemons, Kimberly Lemons and Madison Cupp Great-Great Grandchildren: Abigail Lemons, Jasmine Terry and Raelynn Terry Step Granddaughter: Tonikia McDaniel, Brother: Howard Cupp and wife Barbara Sisters: Betty Carmon and husband Vernon Eva Hansard and husband Voyd Opal Ellison Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM at Blair's Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Chumley and the Rev. Andy Cupp officiating. Music will be provided by The Umphrey Family. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10AM in the Moody Cemetery with full military honors.
