Basil Collins

Mr. Basil Collins age 83 of New Tazewell, TN was born March 29, 1929 and passed away May 30, 2012 at the Claiborne County Hospital. He was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church and a Deacon for over 40 years. He retired from Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge. He greatly enjoyed farming. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Harce and Genettie (Hopper) Collins Son: James Dale Collins Wife: Trula Collins Two brothers: Reamer Collins and Junior Collins He is survived by his: Wife: Patricia Collins of New Tazewell, TN Daughter: Teresa England and husband Bill of Sharps Chapel, TN Two grandchildren: Steven Collins and wife Kim of Briason City, NC Travis Collins of Frankfort, NC Two great grandchildren: Chloe and David Collins One Sister: Dossetta Maddox of Warren, MI Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends The family will receive friends Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Claiborne ? Overholt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00am in the Claiborne ? Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Sharp and Rev. Terry England officiating.
