Mrs. Betty M. Baker Lambert age 86 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Tri State Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Betty was born on September 27, 1934 to the late Joe and Monnie Baker of Tazewell, Tennessee and was married to the late Cletis Lambert for 48 years.
She was a longtime member of Shawanee Missionary Baptist Church where she taught childrens Sunday School, Bible School, Mission Friends for more than 40 years.
Ms. Betty enjoyed her flowers, gardening and crocheting. She was an accomplished seamstress and baby sat for many children in the Harrogate area and treated them like her own. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and lived a faithful Christian life.
Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Monnie Baker, Her Husband Cletis Lambert, brother Harold Baker, sisters Blanche Baker Massengill and Barbara Jo Baker Poore.
She is survived by her daughters Kathy Lambert, Carolyn (Mark) Bolton, grandchildren Julie Deavours, Laura (Trizdon) Reynolds, Williamson (Tara) Deavours, Mahala ( James) Littrell great grandchildren Bronwyn Lewis, Reece Lewis, Blair Lewis, Cadence Deavours, Joncie Deavours, Warwren Deavours, Cayden Littrell and Psalms Littrell Sisters Juanita Baker Whitaker, Ann and Hawk Myers Sister-in-laws Louetta Lambert Brooks and Nella Faye Lambert Dawson
And a host of several nieces, nephews and friends that loved her.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16 ,2021 from 5 PM till 7 PM with funeral services to follow in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Will Deavours and Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating. A poem will be read by Julie Deavours.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 2 PM in the Harrogate Cemetery.
