Betty R. Widner

December 31, 2017

Betty Ray (Duncan) Widner age 81 was born September 25, 1936 and went to with the Lord December 31, 2017 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Betty departed peacefully having accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior as a young woman. She was a longtime member of Duncan Chapel Baptist Church. Declining health prevented regular attendance but Betty loved to attend church as her health permitted. She gave her testimony often. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to her husband for many years prior to his death. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. Many of those present have a mom, granny, Miss Betty or Aunt B quilt. Betty loved to cook for her family and this was only one of the many ways she showed them her love. Betty, Mom and Granny will be missed by her family, neighbors and friends, but we know that she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
