Charlene C. Simpson

Charlene C. Simpson, age 83 of New Tazewell, TN passed away on December 4, 2017. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was known through the years as "Mom" to many. For over 30 years she had great pleasure cooking for others. She was born in Melvin, KY on Jan. 26, 1934. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dolly Spradlin Collins, brothers; Glenn, Bill, William, Henry, Clifford, and Charles Collins, sisters; Victoria Scarberry, Thelma Rowe, Pauline Partridge, Ethel Bailey, and Gladys Newsome. She is survived by her children: Shane Simpson, wife Eula, Sheena Agee, husband Gene. Grandchildren, Robby Agee, wife Kishon all of Harrogate, TN and Travis Simpson of Murfreesboro, TN. Great Granddaughter's, Kara and Cailyn Gillis of Harrogate, TN. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, at Irish Memorial Gardens Tazewell, TN with the Rev. Bill Chapman and the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
