Mr. Claude Smith age 84 of Knoxville, TN formerly of Claiborne County was born August 1, 1932 and passed away peacefully at his home May 28, 2017. He attended Grace Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his: Wife of 65 years: Mary Lou (Widner) Smith Parents: Fred & Geneva (Duncan) Smith Father-in-Law & Mother-in-Law: Edgar & Isabell (Poore) Widner Brothers-in-Law: Paul Widner, Wade Widner, J.T. Widner, Rev. Eugene Noah, Rev. William "Wig" Simmons and Robert Jones Niece: Brenda Widner Dotson He is survived by his: Precious and Loving Daughter: Leann Smith who was his nurse and caregiver Grandson: Matthew Smith Sister: Joyce Jones Brothers-in-Law: Parlon and Audrey Widner Rev. Bob and Pat Widner Rev. Charlie and Mary Widner Sisters-in-Law: Mable Widner, Betty Widner, Betty Jo Widner, Myrtle Noah A host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 6PM until 8PM at Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 10AM Wednesday, May 30, 2017 in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Widner officiating. Music will be provided by The Dunsmores. Burial will follow in the Widner Family Cemetery.
