Mrs. Claudia Bryant age 91 of Sevierville, TN formerly of Tazewell, TN was born February 24, 1927 and passed away February 26, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Claudia was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of New Bethel Tabernacle Church. She was known to all as Miss Claudia. A lady of many talents. In 2007 Miss Claudia moved from Tazewell to Sevierville to be closer to her children. She had a wealth of friends waiting to welcome her there. It had to be hard for her but she settled in and lived, loved, and made so many people happy.
She loved to sew, crochet, draw and play checkers and sometimes cheat. She loved working in her flowers and posed for pictures any time she could. And boy could she pose. She loved to go anywhere in general to have fun anytime and anywhere. She would always clap her hands together in sheer excitement to any adventure big or small.
She loved music beyond words, it was her everything. It was magical how it motivated her and transformed her. It simply was medicine to her soul. She would sing, clap and conduct. One of her favorite singers was Celine Dion where she traveled to Las Vegas to see her twice. She also loved Guy Penrod along with countless others. She loved watching The Walton's; she loved Paula Deen and had the opportunity to meet her. The day she met her, Paula called her "Moma" and treated her with peach cobbler, which she did not share.
She loved to go to Dollywood and she was adored by the performers, ushers and Dollywood employees as well as regular guests. She had so many friends from all walks of life.
One thing she enjoyed was receiving cards and letters and pictures in the mail. She cherished each and every one that was sent to her and guarded them as if they were priceless gold and always wanted them placed somewhere safe and secure. As a card was opened for her she would begin to cry and get so excited! It was food to her soul.
She was crazy over dolls, baskets, and anything that was Roosters and chickens and she had quite a collection of them all.
Everyone always enjoyed her sweet spirit, personality, and generous soul. She never understood how entertaining, funny, and adorable she was. She was like a precious child. She loved life!
She always told everyone she met, even strangers to come see her anytime. If you spent the night she wanted to make sure you had a good place to sleep. She loved babies and children.
The past ten years, she couldn't do all the things she loved so much but she never gave up. Her attitude and outlook and spirit were indescribable. She was a tough lady and endured a lot. Near the end she had someone with her at all times. So many wonderful ladies that took great care of her as if she were their own. Her three children never left her side, never dropped the call, the privilege, and honor to care and love for her unmeasurably. She was treated like a queen. She was looking forward to meeting her new great Grandchild coming in July and fun times ahead. This past Saturday February the 24th she turned ninety one. Her birthday present was a gift that's value is priceless. A gift none of us could give her or match. Miss Claudia was welcomed into heaven and greeted with, "well done thy good and faithful servant"
