Mr. Clay Poore age 78 of New Tazewell, TN was born July 2, 1937 and passed away January 16, 2016 at the Claiborne Medical Center. He was a member of Cloud's Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Alvis and Rose Mae (Widner) Poore Wife: Wanda June Poore Brother: Dillis Poore Sister: Cynthia Russell Several Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-Law He is survived by his: Sons: Tony and wife Edwina Poore Travis and wife Carrie Poore Daughter: Linda Cockrum 14 grandchildren 7 Great grandchildren Brothers: Floyd and wife Louise Poore Billy and wife Barbara Poore Mack Poore Rev. Jimmy and wife Stella Poore Brother-in-law: Charles Russell Sister-in-law: Geraldine Poore Sister-in-Law: Della Maples Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5PM till 7PM at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11AM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Smith and the Rev. Charlie Widner officiating. Music will be provided by Grace Baptist Church Quartet. Burial will follow in the Widner Family Cemetery.
