Clayton Poore

Mr. Clayton Poore Jr. age 80 of New Tazewell, TN was born June 20, 1935 and went to be with the Lord November 9, 2015. He was a member of Thompson's Chapel United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1954 - 1958. Jr. retired from Lazy-Boy then enjoyed farming and cattle. He was the first licensed artificial inseminator for 5 counties. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Clayton Sr. and Dorothy Mae (Ford) Poore Infant child: Anglyn Poore 2 Brothers 2 Sisters He is survived by his: Loving wife of 63 years: Vera Lynn (Mountain) Poore of New Tazewell, TN Brother: David Poore and wife Becky of New Tazewell, TN Sister: Betty Ann Rucker and husband Ron of Kingston, TN Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2PM in the Fairview Cemetery for graveside services with the Rev. Jack Day and the Rev. Jake Beeler officiating. Song by Emily Butler. Pallbearers and Military Honors will be provided by Tri-County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Thompson's Chapel United Methodist Church.
