David Walter Brooks

Mr. David Walter Brooks, age 65, was born on February 23rd, 1955 and went home to be with the Lord on December 7th, 2020. He was a member of Blairs Creek Baptist Church and was a devoted employee of Brooks manufacturing in Tazewell, TN for 46 years. David enjoyed spending time in his woodshop and his many days spent working the farm and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents Obie and Pansy Brooks. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Georgie Brooks. Sister Nadine Brooks and Raymond. Sister in Law Margie Daniels and Husband Bill. Brothers in Law Paul Massengill, Silas Massengill and wife Darlene, Johnny Massengill, and wife Olivia. Niece Joy Ferguson and Husband Mitchell. Nephews Michael Brooks, Kelvin Daniels, Dustin Daniels and wife Amber, and Landen Massengill. Special great nieces and nephews Madison and Jacey Ferguson, Mackenzie, Sawyer and Kasen Daniels. Along with a host of other relatives and dear friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday December 9th from 5-7 PM in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral to follow. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery with procession leaving Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home at 10:30 with graveside services at 11 AM Thursday December 10, 2020.
