Dr. Roy Kyle Norris

Dr. Roy Kyle Norris age 84 of Tazewell, TN was born January 16, 1936 and passed away at his home December 26, 2020. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He was a career educator having served as a teacher, principal, assistant school superintendent, and Director of schools of Claiborne County. Dr. Norris was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, New Tazewell where he faithfully served as a Deacon, and Treasurer for over three decades. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Rev. Roy Clifford and Lou Ella Norris Infant Brother: Samuel Norris He is survived by his: Loving wife: Etta Jane (Hayes) Norris of 58 years Sons: Dr. David Michael Norris Jeffrey Scott and Cindy Norris Grandchildren: Stefan Michael Roy Norris Lily Ruth Norris Brothers: Carl Norris Curtis Norris and wife Glenda Lynn Norris and wife Patsy Sisters: Ella Rhea Porter Martha Cannon and husband Gene Aunt: Mary Shinpaugh And a host of extended family members and lifelong friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to REC Ministry of First Baptist 2121 Old Highway 25-E Tazewell, TN 37879 or Gideons in care of Wayne Mills 1908 Blue Top Road Tazewell, TN 37879. Graveside services will be conducted at the Fairview Cemetery Wednesday December 30, 2020 1PM. The service will be officiated by Dr. Randy Pressnell and Rev. Roger Hansard.
