Mr. Charles Edwin "Eddie" Treece age 72 of Speedwell, TN was born September 16, 1943 and passed away February 16, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was a member and deacon of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Speedwell, TN. He taught youth Sunday School Class in the 70's and 80's. Eddie was employed for 35 years at Norfolk-Southern Railroad and retired in 2003. He loved farming, fishing, reading and being with his family. He is survived by his: Loving wife of 54 years: Charlene (Sandefur) Treece of Speedwell, TN Children: Donna Lewis and husband Jeff of New Tazewell, TN Patti Strike and husband Ken of Andersonville, TN Jill Leonard and husband Jack of Jonesborough, TN Charles Treece and wife Andrea of Speedwell, TN Grandchildren: Patrick and Vanessa Lewis, Lance Lewis and Heather Bolden, Taylor Lewis, Noah Leonard, Will Leonard, Cori Strike and Garrett Leonard. Sister: Susie Russell and husband David of Corbin, KY Brother: Perry Treece of Speedwell, TN Sister-in-Law: Carolyn Sandefur of Harrogate, TN Nephews: Travis Sparks and Keith Sandefur Jr. Nieces: Melody Sparks Bryant, Tracey Sandefur Love, Michelle Sandefur Cupp Many cousins and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5PM till 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Speedwell, TN with the Rev. Gary Mundy and the Rev. Kenny Trent officiating. Music will be provided by Barbara Hatfield and David Painter. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11AM in the Red Hill Community Cemetery in Speedwell, TN. Pallbearers: Bradley Carroll, David Robertson, Andy Welch, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers: Deacons of Red Hill Baptist Church-Carl Powell, Don Wilder, George Dyer, Jody Beeler, David Evans, Friends- Pat Welch, Dean Russell, Dale Russell, Mike Welch, Jim Welch, Neal Medley, Graylon Wilson, Charlie Lane, Johnny Patterson, Guy Evans and Lowell Evans In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Red Hill Community Cemetery Fund, 250 Earls Hollow Rd., Speedwell, TN 37870 Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
