Mrs. Elretta Brewer Cox age 88 of New Tazewell, TN was born April 19, 1929 and passed away July 15, 2017 at the Claiborne Medical Center. She was a longtime dietary aide at Willow Ridge Nursing Home in Maynardville. She was preceded in death by her: Parents: Willard and Relda (Beeler) Brewer Husband: Carl "Joe" Cox Sister: Virgie Perry Brother: Rhondie Brewer She is survived by her: Daughters: Kristi Cox (Richard England) of New Tazewell, TN Dr. Sherry Cox (Steve Collins) of Knoxville, TN Sister: Katie Cox of Sharps Chapel, TN Devoted Sister-in-Law: Lorena Wolfenbarger of New Tazewell, TN Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, July 17, 2017 from 5PM till 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel Music will be provided by Ray Brewer, Gail Duncan, David and Karen Rogers. Graveside services will be conducted 11AM Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in the Cox Cemetery. Pallbearers: J.C. Cox, Brandon Cox, Kim Cox, Jimmy Cox, David Mynatt and Anthony Brewer In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cox Cemetery Association c/o Kristi Cox, 4162 Hwy 33 South, New Tazewell, TN 37825 Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
