Georgia Ramsey Poore

Georgia Ramsey Poore, age 90 passed away at her home in Cumberland Gap, TN on April 13, 2022. She was born January 28, 1932 to William and Eliza Seals Barnard in Hancock county TN. She was saved at an early age and a long-time active member of Underwood Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Frankie James and Bruce Wayne Ramsey, daughter-in-law's, Vicky Ferguson Ramsey, Dorothy Evans Ramsey, granddaughter Jamie Ramsey, sisters Gert Cope, Vader Seals, Pauline Seals, Anna Lee Leach, Bessie Ridings, Ada Barnard, Brothers, Clay, Claude, Artemis and J.C. Barnard.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Ramsey, Jackie Poore, Richard (Tina) Poore, Jerry (Carol) Poore all of Cumberland Gap, TN. Grandchildren, Jason (Pansy) Ramsey, Kelly Ramsey, Jennifer (Jeremiah) Russell, Crystal (Johnny Dale) Sweet, Brian (Jessica) Poore, Jeremy,
and Emily Poore, great grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Makatelyn and Kianna Ramsey, Marley Sweet, Mahayla and Kayla Poore, Eli and Hannah Reed, and A host of several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday April 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in the Claiborne - Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Simmons and Rev. Mitchell Ferguson officiating. Music will be provided by the Underwood Grove Baptist Church choir and great-granddaughter Hannah Reed.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Town Creek Cemetery in Speedwell TN.

Pallbearers: Jason Ramsey, Kelly Ramsey, Brian Poore, Jeremy Poore,

Ethan Ramsey, Noah Ramsey, and Eli Reed.
