Mr. John Edward Lynch, age 96 of Tazewell, was born October 30, 1925, and passed away June 4, 2022 peacefully surrounded by his family and friends. John served in WWII as a Seaman, First Class in the NAVY.

 

He was preceded in death by his soul mate of 75 years Bertha (Shaw) Lynch, His Parents: Elijah Roosevelt Lynch and Viola (Widner) Lynch, His sister: Alma Jean McKeel and his Beloved daughter: Linda Faye Lynch.

 

He is survived by his daughters: Brenda Burwinkel (Dick), Sandra Gamble (Terry) and his son Anthony Lynch (Betsy). Grandchildren: Lynda Hopkins (Rick), John Burwinkel (Teresa), Kimberly Andrews (Andy) and Will Gamble (Alexis) Christopher Mehall (Andrea) Meredith Will (Dean). Great Grandchildren: Ashley Charlton, Erika, Matthew, Emily, Mary, Hayden, Holden, Max, Mason, Parker, and Bennett. Great-Great Grandsons: Cole and Derrick.

 

Special Appreciation to Pam Lowe for her extraordinary love and compassion to our mom and dad, we couldn’t have done it without you. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Lily Grove Cemetery Fund 1088 Locust Grove Road, New Tazewell, TN 37825.

 

The Family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the hospice staff at Suncrest for their support during their time, also to Dr. Nicole Shields for her loving care.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 10AM until 12 Noon in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow. Rev. Jack Day and Rev. Eddie Overholt will be officiating. Graveside Services will be at 1PM at the Lily Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors.
