He was saved at an early age and was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. Dale was a self-employed roofing contractor. He was preceded in death by his: Wife: Lisa Marcine Sweet Parents: Roy and Mildred Sweet He is survived by his: Daughters: Christy Cook & friend Daniel Cole Stacy Stooksbury and husband Tommy Son: Johnny Dale II (JD) Sweet and wife Crystal Granddaughters: Skylar & Avalynn Cook, Saddie Stooksbury and Marley Sweet Grandsons: Jakob, Thomas and Gage Stooksbury Brothers: Michael Roy Sweet and wife Margaret Anthony Glenn (Denny) Sweet and wife Tammy Sister: Connie Gilbert and husband Dennis Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A very sincere and heartfelt thank you to his special friend and caregiver Elphida Sweet & her family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 9, 2015 from 5PM till 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matthew Cook and the Rev. Eddie Overholt officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 10AM Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
