Claiborne - Overholt Funeral Home 1106 Hwy. 33 South New Tazewell, TN 37825 (423) 626 - 2191 Fax (423) 626 - 8440 Rev. Lige Eads age 94 of Tazewell, Tennessee passed away March 21st, 2017 at Claiborne Nursing Home in Tazewell, Tennessee. Mr. Eads was saved at the age of 50 at the Cave Springs Baptist Church where he was a member as well. He was born on MAY 9, 1922 at Blackstar, Kentucky. Mr. Eads enlisted and served his country during the World War II in the United State Army in the 331st Infantry in October 1942 through May 1943. Lige enjoyed visiting churches, playing his banjo and singing. He was preceded in death by his wife the late: Meda Eads, his parents, Britt Eads and Hettie Lee Eads; He is survived by these sons: Ray and wife Brenda Eads, Grandchildren Tammy Eads Bean, Sandra Eads Clark, Troy Eads Great grandchildren Braxton Clark, Ciera Bean, Paige Bean, Nicole Eads Ottis and wife Sharon Eads, Grandchild Amy and husband Phillip Arnold Wade and wife Kathy Eads, Grand Children Donna Seals, Mitchell Eads, Sheena Eads Great grandchildren Kaitlyn Greer, Brooke Ray all of Tazewell, Tn. He has been survived by his siblings Ruby Whitaker of Monroe Michigan, Leona Laub of Toledo Ohio, Glenda Ellison of Indiana. He has been preceded in death by his siblings Mary and John Hensley, Ethel and Russell Cosby, Audrey and Herman Hatfield, Austin Eads, Levi and Dorothy Eads, Alfred Eads, Dillard Eads, Martha Fultz, Mildred Daniels, and Harvey Eads. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel. Music will be provided by Lucille Parks. Graveside services will be conducted 10AM Friday in the Parks Cemetery.
