Mary Ruth Cox

Mrs. Mary Ruth (Moyers) Cox age 88 of New Tazewell, TN passed away April 8, 2017 at her home with her loving family beside her. She was a long-time member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was well known for her generosity and humor. Her spunky charm, loving heart, and enthusastic Mary was the daughter of the late Orbrie and Lena Moyers. She was preceded in death by her: Husband of 66 years: Jess Willard Cox Son: Daniel Douglas Cox Brother: Lloyd Moyers Great Grandson: Emmitt She is survived by her: Daughter: Anne McCoy and husband Vaughn Daughter-in-law: Janice Cox Grandchildren: Amy Hill and husband Dwayne Vanessa McCoy Katy England and husband Adam Billy Cox and wife Raquel Great-Grandchildren: Emma, Ali, Dawson, Ruthie, Austin, Aidan, Harrison, Alexander, and Callie Jess Great-Great Grandson: Vincent Brother: Douglas W. Moyers Niece: Carolyn Moyers Sister-in-Law: Maggie Dykes Brother-in-Law: Jack Cox The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Claiborne Medical Center and Claiborne County Nursing Home as well as Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for all of their loving care. The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2017 from 1PM until 3PM with funeral services to follow at 3PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Sean Moon and Gary Runions officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
