Mrs. Mary Lou (Widner) Smith age 82 of Knoxville, TN was born February 24, 1934 in Claiborne County and passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was a Christian and member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church of New Tazewell. She was preceded in death by her: Parents: Edgar and Isabell (Poore) Widner Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law: Fred and Geneva Smith Brothers: Paul Widner and Wade Widner Brother-in-laws: J.T. Widner and Rev. Eugene Noah Loving niece: Brenda Widner Dotson She leaves to cherish her memories: Loving Husband of 65 years: Claude Smith Precious and Loving Daughter: Leann Smith who was her nurse and caregiver Grandson and Sunshine of her Life: Matthew Smith Brothers: Parlon and Audrey Widner Rev. Bob and Pat Widner Rev. Charlie and Mary Widner Sisters: Mable Widner Myrtle Noah Sisters-in-Law: Betty Widner, Betty Jo Widner and Joyce Jones Many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends The family will receive friends from 5PM till 7PM Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the Claiborne-Overholt Chapel with the Rev. Dallas Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Widner Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jeff Noah, Tim Widner, Dale Widner, Greg Widner, Bobby Widner, Chris Widner, and Justin Widner Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
