Edmondson Reece Lane Minnie Lane, age 88, passed away at Saline Evangelical Nursing Home in Saline, Michigan on December 20, 2014. She was a long time resident of Monroe, Michigan and more recently of Saline, Michigan. She was born July 14, 1926 in Tazewell, TN, the daughter of John N. Edmondson and Nancy Whitaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Martha and brother-in-law William Hanzinger, of Lexington, MI. Brother-in-law Virgil Lambert of Tazewell,TN Minnie was employed at Quality Inn on N. Dixie Highway in Monroe , Michigan where she enjoyed her work and friendships for thirty years , at the age of 86 due to poor health she retired. Survivors include her son, Paul ( Kathy) Reece and her grandson Jonathan of Saline, Michigan. Sisters Lucy Terrell of Monroe, Michigan, and Edith Lambert of Tazewell, TN and nieces Vivian Lister and Fay Cupp of Tazewell TN, nephew Lewis (Debbie) Lambert of Monroe, MI. and many more family and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, 2014, 10:00 to 11:00am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home in New Tazewell Tennessee. Officiating the Rev James Lambert. Graveside services will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers: Steve Cupp, Steven Cupp Todd Cupp and James Love In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cave Springs Cemetery.
