Orvis Conley Russell was born on May 14, 1921 and passed away on September 5, 2011. He loved his God, his country and his family. He was a veteran of World War II, former Goin Postmaster and a retired rural mail carrier and farmer. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and was a member of Lily Grove Baptist Church where he was Adult Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a wonderful, loving husband and father and grandfather what always put the needs of his family first. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Sherman and Pearlie (Lynch) Russell Brother and Sister-in-law: Willard and Ruby Russell Sisters and brothers-in-law: Opal and Jim Wallace Ora and Rufus Widner Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ernest Walker, Camie and Fred Maples, Bill and Sylma Clark, Tom Noe, Bradley Keck, Clive Keck and Gwen Rutherford He is survived by his: Loving wife of 69 years and 11 months: Onalee (Keck) Russell of New Tazewell, TN Daughter: Brenda Ingle and husband Earl of New Tazewell, TN Son: Stanley Russell and wife Eula Gray of New Tazewell, TN Grandchildren: Kevin Ingle and wife Sherry of New Tazewell, TN Clint Russell and wife Chrissy of Knoxville, TN Aimee Russell of Pulaski, TN Great grandchildren: Alysha, Autumn, Bell, Gracie Brother: Rev. Irby Russell and wife Mossie Sister: Lenore Walker Sisters-in-law: Neotha Noe, Lucille Keck and Leota Keck Several nephews, nieces and host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Claiborne ? Overholt Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00pm in the Claiborne ? Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Day and Rev. Larry Bull officiating. Music will be provided by Lily Grove Youth Choir. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00am on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Lily Grove Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Pallbearers: Nephews Claiborne ?
