Funeral for Ronda (Ron) Estep, 79 of Hartselle will be Saturday May 5, 2018 at 2:00PM at Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell, TN with Rev. Gary Fletcher and Rev. Jason Estep Miracle officiating with burial in Martin Cemetery in Tazewell, TN.  Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00PM-2:00PM at the funeral home. 

Ronda (Ron) Estep was born in Claiborne County. Tennessee January 7, 1939 to Clifford Estep and Lee Hazel Brooks Estep.  Ron graduated from Forge Ridge High School of Harrogate, TN in 1955 at the age of sixteen.  After attending High School, Ron enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for 30 years, serving at stations in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, For Sill, Oklahoma, For Eustis, Virginia, Chicago Gary Defense, Chicago, IL., Fort Bliss, ElPaso, Texas, Selfrige Air Force Base, Mount Clemmons, MI Scofield Barricks, Hawaii, DarmStadt, West Germany, Javer, West Germany, Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska, South Humphries South Korea where he attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 and specialized in Air Defense Missile Systems.  Ron received the Legion of Merit at the culmination of his military career.  The Legion of Merit is the sixth  in the order of precedence of all military awards.  After retiring from the United States Army, Ron worked for Teledyne Brown Engineering and Later Drove an 18 Wheeler before retiring in 2004.

Ron Met Constance (Connie) Liverett while stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.  Ron and Connie were later married October 23, 1965 and celebrated their 5oth wedding Anniversary in 2015.  Ron and Connie have 5 Children:

Steven Craig (Lori) Estep of Summerville, South Carolina

Kenneth Ryan (Kerry) Estep of Canton, Georgia

Christine (Doug) Norton of Ashburn, Virginia

Ron’s Sister Peggy (Birchel) Miracle a lifelong  resident of  Claiborne County, Tennessee

Ron”s Nephew Jason Estep (Ashley) Miracle a lifelong resident of Claiborne County, Tennessee

Ron has 9 Grandchildren and six step-grandchildren
