Claiborne - Overholt Funeral Home 1106 Hwy. 33 South New Tazewell, TN 37825 (423) 626 - 2191 Fax (423) 626 - 8440 Mrs. Rose Ann (Lumpkins) Ownby age 63 of Knoxville, TN was born December 26, 1952 in Hazard, KY and left us in the late afternoon on April 22, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was of the Jehovah's Witness faith. Rose retired from Stower's Machinery of Knoxville after 29 years of dedicated service. She loved her job and fellow employees. She was preceded in death by: Husband and Love of her life: Craig Ownby Parents: Betty Laura and Roy Lumpkins Jr. Brother: Bobby Eugene Lumpkins Brother-in-Law: Billy Parker She is survived by her: Beloved dog and companion: "Gracie" Sisters: Connie (Roger) Sweet Mary (Stewart) Cupp Sandra Sue Parker Madonna (R.L.) King Nieces: Dana Lantham, Amanda Parker, Glenna Cupp, Scarlett Sweet and Cortney Gambrel Nephews: Jesse (Emily) Sweet, John Parker, Wesley (Nicole) Lumpkins and Christopher Gambrel Great Nieces: Mary Elizabeth Sweet and Shana Marie Lumpkins Great Nephew: Mitchell Lumpkins Special Aunt and Uncle: Roger and Jackie Couch Rose also is survived by many other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Tennova Hospice nurses and Tennessee Cancer Center nurses for all of their loving care. The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2016 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Paulson officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 9AM at Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home to go in procession to Irish Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 10AM.
