Rev. Thurman Kenneth Crawford age 76 of New Tazewell, TN was born April 29, 1940 and passed away April 10, 2017 at the Claiborne Medical Center. He had been a minister since the early 1970's and pastored Sugar Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 3 years in the early 1980's. He was preceded in death by his: Parents: Sam and Christy (Cardwell) Crawford Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law: Dana and Novella McDaniel Brothers-in-Law: Pete Harness and Kenneth McDaniel He is survived by his: Loving wife of 57 years: Betty (McDaniel) Crawford Daughters: Sherry (Crawford) Carroll and husband Rick Beverly (Crawford) Mize and husband Fred Son: Doug Crawford Grandchildren: Nikki Winstead and husband Kevin Jennifer Goodman and husband Paul Hannah Crawford Ashlyn Crawford Gracie Crawford Great Grandchildren: Olivia Goodman and Harley Winstead Brother: Arnold Crawford and wife Linda Sisters: Margaret Harness Wilma Cline and husband Tom Janice Cline and husband Royal Brothers-in-Law: Lewis McDaniel Pete McDaniel and wife Brenda Sisters-in-Law: Sue England and husband Randy Gail Leonard and husband Stan Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6PM until 8PM at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11AM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Hall, the Rev. Jeremy Buchanan and the Rev. Tom Louthan officiating. Music will be provided by Carolyn Collins. Burial will follow in the Yoakum Cemetery.
