She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and attended Clouds Memorial Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her: Parents: Edd and Thena Atkins Sisters: Madge Campbell-Reed Ruth Graves Brothers: Jim, R.C., Shirl and Elmer Atkins A niece and nephew She is survived by her: Loving husband of 56 years: Clay Poore Daughter: Linda Cockrum Son: Tony Poore and wife Edwina Travis Poore and wife Carrie 14 Grandchildren 7 Great Grandchildren Sister: Della Maples and husband Joe Several Brothers-in-Law and Sisters-in-Law Several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 5PM till 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Smith and the Rev. Ronald Atkins officiating. Music will be provided by Grace Church Singers. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11AM in the Widner Family Cemetery.
